On September 30th, we will be observing Orange Shirt Day – Every Child Matters. This day is a time to honor the survivors of residential schools, remember those who never returned home, and acknowledge the ongoing healing journey of Indigenous communities.

Wearing an orange shirt symbolizes our commitment to learning the truth, showing respect, and standing together in the spirit of reconciliation. We encourage everyone to wear orange on this day to show support and raise awareness.

Let us come together as a community to reflect, listen, and learn. Every child matters – yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

7th and 8th grade Spartans received a BWCA wilderness experience today from Friends of the Boundary Waters at the O'Brien Reservoir. Students performed team building exercises, fire building with flint and steel, paddling basics, and learned about leave no trace. Several students were in a canoe for the first time and roasted a marshmallow over a fire they created. Great day to be a Spartan! We have such a beautiful new backyard to teach outdoor education! Students will have the opportunity to have a full BWCA experience next summer!
