We had a great program at the high school honoring veterans both past and present. Students submitted art projects, poems, and stories to celebrate veterans and recognize the sacrifices they have made for our country. Many students got up and spoke about veterans in their lives, and the band/choir performed songs to pay respect as well. From all of us at NKHS, thank you veterans for your service!!
This is a reminder that Nashwauk-Keewatin High School will hold its Veterans Day Program tomorrow, November 11th, at 10 a.m. in the Main Gym.
The Keewatin Elementary School will also have its Veterans Day Program tomorrow, November 11th, at 1 p.m. in the Keewatin Gym. Wear Red, White and Blue to honor our Vets! We look forward to seeing you!
Reminder, grades 7-12 girls basketball starts Monday. Practice is at Greenway High School from 4-6pm this week. Transportation is scheduled to pick up and drop off students in front of NKHS near door 1. Scheduled load time for this week's practice is 3:15pm. Bus is scheduled to return students to NKHS following practice.
There will be a parent meeting immediately following Monday's practice at 6pm.

The third graders have been working hard on their research papers on bats! They even got to take part in a virtual field trip through Bat Conservation International.

This will be our final year of having two separate Veterans Day Programs at our high school and elementary, as we are all excited to be under one roof in our new school building next year! However, for this year, the Nashwauk-Keewatin High School will have its Veterans Day Program at 10am in the main gym and Keewatin Elementary will have its program at 1pm in the Keewatin Gym. Both Veterans Day Programs will be on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11th. We welcome the public in honoring our Veterans at both programs and encourage everyone to wear red, white and blue!

2. Support the Cause: Proceeds go to the Spartan Booster Club, which donates thousands of dollars a year to our school activities, programs, and sports. Each spot is $30. Checks can be written to Spartan Booster Club.
