Every March the 3rd graders learn about the Iditarod and its history. Each student then chooses a musher to track and compete against for our Iditaread. Today we had our first Iditaread champion! He read 975 minutes and beat his musher to Nome.

Spring Sports Practices start on Monday for the following... 6th-12th grade Track and Field - Practice in Nashwauk 9th-12th grade Softball - Practice in Coleraine/Bovey depending on weather 9th-12th grade Baseball - Practice in Nashwauk Times are still TBD as we work on transportation. The Spartan Boys Basketball team is hosting the play-in game tonight at NKHS, where they face off against the Bigfork Huskies. Since this is a playoff game, the cost of admission is $5 for students and $10 for adults. Tip off is at 6:00 pm. Season passes or students passes will not be accepted for tonights game.

Winter Sports Update! The Girls Season ended on Wednesday night after a loss to Mt. Iron-Buhl The Boys regular season finale is tonight at NKHS vs. Cromwell. JH and JV start at 5:45 with Varsity to follow. The boys are in line to host a play-in game on Monday 3/4, but official word won't be posted until Saturday. That game would be at 6 p.m. Jovanna Volker qualified as an individual for the state wrestling tournament and wound up as the #2 seed in her bracket. She wrestles around 11 a.m. tomorrow morning.
